3D Auto Works, Inc. is an Independent Full Service Facility
servicing BMWs exclusively since 1988 and now we have added MINI Service to our
Full Service Line.
3D Auto Works was established as a result of a natural desire of BMW and MINI owners to
choose personalized reliable service in caring for their high performance
automobiles: all BMW and MINI models, every needed mechanical repair.
Dan Maynard, owner/technician, has been dedicated to quality BMW service since
1981. Dan was factory trained and has extensive experience working on all BMW's.
The technicians at 3D have been trained by Dan, attended automotive trade
schools and continue their education by attending technical training clinics and
have experience working on all BMW's and MINI's.
3D Auto Works continues to keep up to date with all the latest BMW and MINI
models by attending regularly scheduled technical training clinics and by
purchasing the latest testing and programming equipment available to Independent
BMW and MINI Service Facilities for your BMW or MINI with our most recent upgrade; the Autologic
Diagnostic System for BMW and MINI and the BMW and MINI On-Line Technical Information System.

Company History
3D Auto Works, Inc. was established in May 1988 in Hudson, New Hampshire by
Daniel and Deborah Maynard.
The 3D in the company name was derived from the family member names: Daniel,
Deborah and their son David.
1988,
3D Auto Works opened their first location in May of 1988 at 12 Rebel Road in
Hudson, New Hampshire. This facility consisted of a one bay garage, about 1000
square feet, with Dan working on the BMWs and Deb working in the office.
1989,
3D expanded to a two bay garage at 12 Rebel Road and hired their first employee.
1990,
3D hired another BMW technician with over 15 years of experience.
1992,
3D purchased factory tools and service manuals, along with a BMW factory test
system. 3D becomes a recommended installer for The Tire Rack.
1993,
3D implemented a new computer system to provide better service to the customers
and to manage inventory and finances. 3D celebrates it's 5th year in Business.
1994,
3D Auto Works purchased a five bay building (5000 square feet) on Route 111 in
Hudson, New Hampshire. They equipped it with three new lifts and computerized
alignment equipment.
1998,
3D celebrates it's 10th year in Business.
1999,
in response to an increased demand for service work, 3D hired an additional
technician, and installed an additional lift. 3D Auto Works become members of
the International Association of Independent BMW Service Professionals.
2000,
the BMW Modic II Diagnostic System was purchased.

2001,
3D began sponsorship of 2 Race Cars; a 1996 BMW 328is BMW Club Racer #328 Owned
and Driven by Al Legerlotz and a 1989 BMW 325ix COM Sports Car Club #666 Owned
and Driven by Dan Guliano
2002,
the BMW Modic III Diagnostic System was purchased and an additional lift
installed.

2003,
3D celebrates it's 15th year in Business. 2003 has been a year of changes and
additions. The computer system was completely replaced and upgraded giving each
of the technicians at 3D computer access. A T1 Line was installed for faster
on-line technical and repair information. 3D expanded their business to include
Used BMW Sales and MINI Cooper Service. An additional BMW technician was hired.
Dan built his son David an SCCA ITS Race Car and the 3D Race Team is ready to go
for 2004 Racing Season.
2004,
The 3D Race Team had a Very Successful First Season in SCCA ITS Racing winning
the New York State Road Racing Championship in the ITS Class and placing in the
Top 5 of both the New England Region Road Racing Series ITS Class and the North
Atlantic Road Racing Series ITS Class. Major New Equipment purchases included an
upgrade to a Kwik Way 540 Tire Changer to accommodate the larger specialty
wheels and run-flat tires, a set of AccuSet Computerized Car Scales and more
Specialty Tools for BMWs and MINI's. And for those that need to wait while their
car is in for service we offer complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate or cafe
mocha with our Filter Fresh Beverage Machine! Cable Television and Wireless High
Speed Internet Access is now available for those who bring their laptops with
them while waiting.
2005, The Autologic Diagnostic System was purchased

2006, The Race Team outgrew it's 26' Race Car Trailer, so a brand
new 48' Pace Race Car Trailer/Camper was purchased to make those long trips and
long weekends at the Race Tracks more productive and much more comfortable. The
trailer is equipped with a Full Workshop for the Race Car and just about every
part that the Race Car may need.
2007, Getting Ready for our BIG 20th Year Anniversary in 2008, we
have done a major Remodel to both Front Offices, Waiting Room, Shop Area,
Employee Lunch Room and Parts Loft. Come Check Out our Freshly Remodeled Waiting
Room, for those that need to wait or just want to get away from the Office for a
while. We offer Complimentary Bottled Water or Coffee, Tea and Hot Chocolate
from our New Keurig Coffee Machine and Beverage Center! Flat Screen Cable
Television and Wireless High Speed Internet Access.
2008
= Celebrating 20 Years in Business!!!!!!!!
2008, A new Alignment Machine was purchased, we upgraded to a John
Bean V3D1 Imaging Alignment System and more Special Tools were purchased to keep
up to date with the newer models.

2009, The 3D Racing Team expands and builds a BMW E46 330ci to
compete in the Grand-Am KONI Challenge ST Series placing 10th in their first
race at Watkins Glen and placing 15th at Trois-Rivieres in Quebec. Marc X
Lebrun returns to the 3D
Team of Technicians, Tanya Maynard joins the staff as Administrator, and Deb
Maynard returns as Business Manager after a 4 year absence. A second AutoLogic
Diagnostic Computer is Purchased. A New NEC Phone System Installed.
Each Technician is now equipped with a Wireless Laptop Computer at their Service
Bay for easy access to Technical Information, Wiring Diagrams and Vehicle
Service History. A Library was built in the shop to organize and house the
numerous BMW Service Manuals; Electrical Manuals; Training Manuals and Technical
Bulletins.
